Dancing the night away

Dancing to music and live bands has always held an attraction for young people in Warrington . It has also provided the opportunity for both the sexes to dress to impress and show off in the latest fashions.

A number of dance halls opened in the 1940s, such as the Carlton Club. Warrington Baths was also a popular venue for dances with a sprung floor built over one of the pools. These dance halls had their own dance bands and singers.
